Now out on video is Duck Season, an an award-winning and 
eccentrically titled film from Mexico about one afternoon in a housing project in Mexico City, and how seemingly inconsequential events (baking a cake, ordering a pizza, staring at a painting) can lead to unexpected, and even magical, transformations There's also a nice little tip of the hat to the Beatles,
as at one point the four characters in the film--yes, there are only 4--are posed in a shot that evokes the Beatles on their first album cover. (One of 
the characters even says "We're like the Beatles" at this point.)
